For the Pilates masters out there, take this opportunity to slow down your pace and bring your awareness back to your body and breath, as you flow through the Pilates fundamental exercises. Anyone true to the Pilates principles will appreciate the subtle reminders of finding your CENTER (your powerhouse) while CONCENTRATING on each movement, in a CONTROLLED, PRECISE way, FLOWING effortlessly with your BREATH.

INTERMEDIATE PILATES MATWORK
55 minute - Level 2 - Continuous Pace
A great Pilates mat workout for individuals who have a strong understanding of the Pilates principles. A perfect progression after mastering the beginning PIlates matwork. As a beginner/intermediate Pilates student, you may still be holding tension in the wrong places (i.e. your neck or hip flexors). It is important to address your body tension, and only proceed with pain-free healthy movements and take breaks when necessary. In this video, Courtney allows for short breaks between each exercise to release the body of any unnecessary tension. Be prepared to learn fun new intermediate Pilates exercises such as the Roll up, Pilates Ab Series, 100's, and the Teaser Prep. Take your time. With continuous Pilates practice, you will learn to relax your unnecessary tensions by stabilizing the right muscles. Just keep listening to the cues, and repeat, repeat, repeat.
